The details you want for Battlefield 6

The Battlefield franchise has always been synonymous with large-scale warfare, immersive destruction, and squad-based tactics. With the reveal of Battlefield 6, Electronic Arts and the newly unified Battlefield Studios are aiming not just to revive the series—but to redefine it. From the return of fan-favorite features to ambitious new modes, Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be the most comprehensive entry yet.

To bring Battlefield 6 to life, EA formed Battlefield Studios, a powerhouse collective of four development teams:

StudioRole in Battlefield 6
DICE (Stockholm)Core multiplayer and sandbox design
Ripple Effect (LA)Creators of Portal mode and experimental gameplay
Criterion (UK)Oversees single-player and narrative integration
Motive Studio (Canada)Drives cinematic storytelling across modes

This coalition merges over 20 years of Battlefield experience with fresh talent from across the industry. It’s a strategic move to ensure Battlefield 6 doesn’t just echo past glories—it evolves them.

  • Features a map called Lyndon Beach with 36 Points of Interest
  • Inspired by Firestorm but designed to compete with Warzone and Fortnite
  • Progression and cosmetics will be integrated, possibly with unique skins

Battlefield 6 isn’t just a sequel—it’s a statement. With the formation of Battlefield Studios, EA is betting big on collaboration, community-driven content, and a return to the franchise’s roots. The inclusion of Portal, a robust map lineup, and a battle royale mode shows a clear intent: to reclaim Battlefield’s place at the top of the FPS genre.
