Xbox Unifies Game Libraries Across PC and Handheld — Here’s What You Need to Know

The standout feature is the aggregated gaming library, which brings together installed titles from multiple storefronts — including Xbox Game Pass, Battle.net, and others — into a single, streamlined view. No more bouncing between apps or hunting through folders. If it’s installed, it’s visible in “My Library” and your “Most Recent” sidebar.

🔧 Prefer a cleaner view? You can now toggle storefront visibility:

  • Click your profile picture
  • Go to Settings → Library & Extensions
  • Disable storefronts you don’t want displayed

This gives players full control over how their library looks and feels.

“My Apps” Tab: A New Launchpad

The new My Apps tab acts as a central hub for launching third-party storefronts and apps. It’s designed to support the unified library experience, making it easier to jump into games from different ecosystems without switching apps or returning to the desktop.

Cloud Play History Syncs Across Devices

Later this month, Xbox will roll out cross-device cloud play history, allowing players to:

  • Filter their library by “cloud playable”
  • Use the “Jump back in” list on the Home screen to resume games instantly

Whether you’re on console, PC, or handheld, your play history follows you — making it easier than ever to pick up where you left off.

This move reflects a broader shift toward accessibility, user control, and platform-neutral gaming. By reducing friction and respecting player autonomy, Xbox is setting a new standard for how game libraries should work in a multi-platform world.

For those who value discoverability, streamlined UX, and cross-platform freedom, this update is a game-changer.
